Emeritus Prof Christopher May on Nostr: Meanwhile in the supply chain, despite falling out of the news cycle, Suez canal ...
Meanwhile in the supply chain, despite falling out of the news cycle, Suez canal traffic seems to have dropped by over half in the first Q. of 2024, and shows little sign of reviving, adding over a week to Asia-Europe shipping times & adding to costs.
But, that's not what the BoE are focussing on when they look at inflationary drivers; no, its workers wages that are inflationary, of course.
The chance of supply chains being re-directed back via Suez currently looks remote!
