It continues to baffle me the extent to which the boomer generation (with exceptions OF COURSE) just blindly believes what they're told from "authorities". My best explanation is that they grew up in a high-trust society, took it for granted, pillaged & destroyed it, and haven't come to terms with the fact that they now live in a low-trust society since that would require a collective admission that they completely fucked up.
