But I agree with JW’s original post that anything well-curated will *by default* resonate with a smaller audience, and it will be more difficult for one to “go viral” with it.
But yet, as a corollary to the piece, I think it’s a better outcome, because a person who succeeds in a smaller, better-curated media sphere has a better chance to improve their craft without burning out. Someone going viral will face a mob demanding they do more and more outrageous things. Very, very few people can survive that without flaming out.
