I left all our noisy commercial HEPA filters behind when we moved and decided to replace them with a much quieter #CorsiRosenthal box made from four IKEA STARKVIND filters and four Arctic P14 PWM PC fans (plus assorted tape, foam, and gift wrapping ribbon). It is soooooo much quieter - my watch says 45 dB at 30 cm distance
