Here we are, 2 1/2 years into Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and Hungary and Slovakia just kinda felt that Ukraine would keep allowing Russian oil & natural gas to be transported through their country, for sale to people helping Putin fund the war.
Honestly, nobody told them that they should consider making other plans?! How very foolish and presumptuous of them!
