I already have a wonky sense of smell due to an infection I had a couple decades ago, which strangely lets me adore onions, peppers, and Brussels sprouts, and smelly cheese, but keeps me from smelling most types of roses. Not sure I'd want to risk what's left, but the turbinate surgery is what I've been recommended by each new ENT I've gotten over the years. This is why it is so interesting to me.
