This absolute beast is the fossilised tooth from a rhizodont, a massive predatory lobe-finned fish that thrived during the Carboniferous period!
They could grow up to 7m in length making them the largest freshwater fish to ever exist. This specimen is from Fife, held in the Hunterian Museum collections 🖤
