In 2010 somebody made a Facebook group asking "can this pickle get more fans than Nickelback" (it did), and in 2022 the Daily Star asked whether a lettuce would last longer than Liz Truss's prime ministership (it did). This is a meteoric rise for greengrocery, from pop star to prime minister, in just 12 years. How many politicians have managed that?
