the eu is leaning a bit too hard on the work of le foss (which is still majority american mind you) to recover from this, but even then if the eu goes through with this it may be a rough time for the eu
or the more realistic thing is that this is some loophole law that wont change much but just give eu legislators more ways to pull eu data from us datacenters

Many European service providers will have to move quickly to avoid fines, but eventually #EU data will be held in the EU, benefiting companies in Europe, and supporting #DigitalSovereignty.
That means AWS, Azure, Google and iCloud can lose a sizeable chunk of their customer base if no moves are made. I am all for it.
