I’ve been going down the mushroom rabbit hole for a while too. I never liked mushrooms until I discovered a guy selling all the more interesting varieties at the farmer’s market here. I just bought a box with some lion’s mane and king oysters this morning. He also sometimes has shiitake which I like making into a sauce for steak. I’ve tried growing some oysters and chestnut mushrooms in the past from grow kits which worked pretty well.
The tinctures I currently take that I think do help are cordyceps which seems to give an energy boost and reishi which I feel helps me get better sleep.
Magnesium is another interesting one although I don’t take it as a supplement. When I started walking a lot a while ago I was having issues with sore feet and muscles so I started having a bath with epsom salts at night. I suddenly noticed that I was also sleeping much better and looking into it further I found there were studies saying that the magnesium can be absorb through the skin and can help with sleep. I’ve kept up with that habit too.
