I reglazed this bowl and the flaw is now gone without a trace! I think the already subtle colors are a little more subdued now. Here are the new pictures.

So, this is one of the best bowls I’ve ever thrown AND one of the most beautiful glaze combinations I’ve tried. It would have been 😚👌 perfection.

Unfortunately, someone else’s piece touched it in the kiln. Someone on the kiln team clearly did their best to rescue the piece, separating the pieces and grinding the “wound” smooth, but I still might have to reglaze that part, with uncertain results for the rest of the piece. Refiring usually changes what the glazes looks like (not necessarily for the worse), especially when they flow like this.

UNLESS someone loves this just the way it is and wants to buy it… the flaw is small and you could possibly not even notice it, or face that part to the wall…

If you are that someone, please let me know soon, because I will get around to reglazing very soon if I don’t hear from a buyer.

It’s roughly 6.5” in diameter, 3.5” high, food safe, dishwasher safe, microwave safe, even with the flaw.
