UTXO sharing will be enabled with CTV and/or TXHASH. So that will scale potential UTXO ownership 10x from current capabilities. Which is the main reason why this update is so important imo.
That said, at best that would scale to around 10% of the global population being able to control a UTXO. I think current network can support around 1-2% of the global population controlling their own UTXO.
My opinion here is that everyone isn’t necessarily cut out to utilize Bitcoin. So many doubters and people who are too lazy to learn about and adopt this sovereign money. Even if everyone could custody a UTXO I do not think they all would.
Therefore I actually like the limitations in UTXO ownership. It is a filtration system.
