Etoile recites a ditty to keep from getting lost in the Bywater: ancient Chartres decree the Royal Dauphine drink Burgundy while seated on the castle's Rampart until St. Claude rises from the dead, again.
I made up the ditty to keep Bywater streets straight in my mind. When Etoile recites it, the Last Dauphine of France returns to New Orleans, along with St. Claude and a red-headed assassin.
Truth exaggerated, that is the premise.
