I haven’t been posting much on #Gaza recently and I feel terrible about it: how now I, too, am letting it slip into the background - genocide as ambient background noise, as Jonanthan Glazer put it. Of course, I haven’t forgotten it. But I feel utterly demoralised that, 11 months in, the killing and bombing still just goes on and on; that all the protests, occupations, boycotts are ignored, and that this really is our world. It is just awful.
