Two days ago, two intermediate CA's have expired at Microsoft, resulting in a lot of services that probably spewed out warnings. Office was the more prominent one, but I saw internal Microsoft systems, Azure Event Grid and Xbox services also having expired certificates using this CA.
My thoughts go out for the people that needed to do certificate rotation on a read-only friday.
