I really think it’s time we rebrand all this. We’re the future. Decentralized social networking (DSN) isn’t a “fediverse.” It’s a second-wind for the concept of the “open web.” So why don’t we just refer to this as the “Social web” and say goodbye to the somewhat corny “fedi” portmandu many haven’t ever been comfortable using anyway? When you “post a social” it’s assumed you mean on a DSN npub1cjp6utgmnsjnsk77vvnua0cg5ypu83n2zzvmv663na5hlu88hlqqznf98d (npub1cjp…f98d) on some instance, somewhere. It doesn’t matter which one.
