I've had a lot conversations recently regarding Bitcoin as a "survival" currency in the wake of "The Great Reset" , mostly with people that stack Gold and Silver.
Has anyone ever had a conversation along those lines? I would be interested to discuss this on Nostr, because I've already steel-manned my own arguments by posting about it in Bitcoin agnostic and Bitcoin hostile forums.
By far the most common arguments according to the aforementioned groups are thus:
1. You will need a digital I.D to access the Internet and therefore Bitcoin will be useless.
2. Bitcoins price is somehow controlled by some shadowy puppet master who will crash it when the time is right.
3. Shiny metal pretty.
4. Nuclear war will render Bitcoin useless.
There's more but I haven't time to list them all.
