I just measured it and the fire's about 3.4 km away and to get across to the edge of Dyers Pass Road it would need to drop 300 m down into the bottom of the Adventure Park and burn back up the other side. In 2017, the alarming twist was instead when it burned along the Summit Road and then started coming down through Victoria Park (our neighbourhood was evacuated then).",
