I want to be part of the generation where our kids and grandchildren look back and say “yeah, they pretty much saved the world - that was a close fucking call”.
Kind of the way that Boomers grew up looking at their parents who fought for the Allied forces in WW2, effectively preventing the end of the civilized world.
Propaganda, hyperbole, and all that aside, I have always noticed a profound sense of respect and admiration in our parents’ generation, when they speak of how society “came together” in the 1940s to fight an existential threat.
Granted, the threat our society faces today is not a group of psychotic murderous bigots hell-bent on world domination with an army behind them. I (obviously) don’t intend to suggest that it’s the same situation.
But still, it’s easy to see the insidious and wide-ranging negative impacts of a global fiat system, and the fact is that it costs people their health, their wealth, and their lives, all around the world.
If something doesn’t change — if we don’t fix the money — it’ll be more than a “close call”…
