One of my persistent critiques of Github is that it presents "issues" as a top-level concern, a peer of the code. Assuming you enable them (and if you don't enable them, you HAVE to enable their close cousin, pull requests) there's ALWAYS somewhere to say "I have a problem".
By contrast, there is no UI affordance anywhere to say "thank you".
I try to make a habit of saying "fuck it" to that design, and just filing issues like this one anyway. Nobody's complained so far. https://github.com/amolenaar/amolenaar/issues/1
