d (npub15fk…j9gr) I had read something about map direction being "slightly off from north" but I never imagined it was anywhere near this bad. Now that I'm looking at the north facing map the arrow trick actually works.
Speaking of I managed to bag 12 down and I made the improvised insulation. The only problem I see is it soaps up water like a bitch. I was going to make two but found out the moose hide satchel occupies the other slot. Maybe I should carry an extra one when it inevitably gets way too wet.
