I gave up on trying to explain consumer psychology to her, my mother ran a corner store for over 30 years, which I worked in from the age of 11 through high school, and then I spent 15 years working on pure commission, so I'm not talking out of my ass, and walked out with her staring at me in silent rage. And to make things worse, she's graduated with a teaching degree and is waiting for a gig in the local school system. Great, autists teaching kids. We are fucked as a society.
