I think this is why I've had such a strong reaction to this character, after not giving much of a shit about vtubers for a year or two.

Not a resemblance to Faye Valentine specifically, but a sensibility. Kannagi Loki is perhaps the most '90s anime woman vtuber, on top of being brilliantly rigged, and paired with the right kind of voice.
