Some red flags went up when I read LF's press release, but when I read what OMI has written about their project, they're insisting 100% open source using an OSI approved license. If they stick to that, I have no problem. But we'll see. OSI is currently working on an Open Source AI Definition to base any license on, and I'm sure that definition probably won't contradict the Open Source Definition. Again, we'll see.
