It's not that I dislike lying in a beach with a book. It's just that I hate sand. A rocky beach full of lovely peebles? A grass covered shore of a lake? Sure. But keep the sand away from me. On a sandy beach I want to go home 20 minutes ago.
(Brought to you by the fact that we walked along a sandy, very windy beach for a part of today's hike. I cannot get all the sand out of my hair. I HATE it.)
