I've been seeing something lately that both makes me sad and inspired. These young adults who just want to own something so they do anything, they buy small pieces of rural land, build houses on trailers, convert sheds, renovate barns, buy land shares for communal living, and turn busses into homes. They live in tents, busted RVs and cars trying to save money to just have something that is theirs one day. They take on basically what is a second full time job building and renovating, just to have somewhere they can live, and not pay thousands upon thousands of dollars in rent and mortgage payments.

I'm sad that this is what they have to do, it shouldn't be this way, and this hard. I'm sad that despite this people still call them lazy.

I'm inspired that they still find a way, they buck tradition, and make their own meaning. It gives me hope, that people will build a better world.
