As a #Pagan #Polytheist, I have a lot of thoughts about the whole Thor/Loki situation in pop culture.
It's like a chicken-and-egg thing: Did they become more popular and change slightly because of the Marvel movies? Or were they more active/changing in this realm and that's why the movie characters were made in the first place?
I have a hard time believing that they (mostly Loki) didn't have a hand in their current popularity.
As a result, the entire pantheon is experiencing a resurgence, and isn't that just something that Loki would do? To play a trick, teasing the gods by making them depicted as silly superheroes, but it all turns out in their favor in the end?
