On the ethics piece alone, I’m seeing so much junk. Read two articles recently - in top journals - on ethics that had zero grounding for how they conceived and defined ethics. Both attempted to articulate “ethics knowledge” and offered no definition and had items in surveys that were grounded in … nothing. I hate it when academics decide something they don’t know about is “easy.” It’s a disservice.
