Today I get to vote for a Police and Crime Commissioner.

I still don't get why the job exists, even less why it's appointed by public ballot.

My three candidates are:

- tough on crime!

- tough on crime!

- tough on crime (but maybe remember we should work *with* the community?)

Not much choice. Not much point. And I have to find ID to be allowed.

But I will turn up and mark my paper. Possibly by writing "fuck the police" across it.
