Unless they work for a subscription model (very few do), more clicks means more dollars, and it's not like there are a lot of dollars in that world.
It's a Catch-22 though, because if they all just group-committed to Mastodon at once it would grow their Mastodon audiences faster because the audience would have more reasons to be here.
What I don't understand is why more journalists don't just y'know- post to both?
