As a teenager in Nazi-occupied Netherlands in WWII, my late father-in-law and a friend took a huge risk and built a crystal radio to listen to the BBC. Today we have a lot of people in Canada who say they can’t access the news because Facebook blocks it.
A key defence against fascism is a well-informed populace. Sigh.
