In this new world of pre-recorded Apple events, I think the line is blurring between event and press release. An event is obvious, as it has invites, a marketing name, and is meant to wow the public.

But I don't think press release videos of new product updates is all that different. It's like having an event with all the drone transitions removed.

I'm interested in seeing what these new iPads and MacBooks are like. But if the iPads are just M3 with OLED, it might be a rather minimal update overall.

I want to update my M1 iPad Pro, but Apple has to make me want to. What will make this new lineup stand apart? Why would I upgrade if the M1 is still running great today?

OLED is a nice upgrade, and M3 will be great for gaming, but is that really it? Would those updates affect how I use iPad today? Not likely.

So while I want to upgrade simply because it's been a while, I may wait a few weeks/months due to just having bought Vision Pro. Unless they wow me.
