Someone asked me this same question yesterday and I truly don't know. If you ask the AI directly what it is, it will say it's deepseek. When I started probing it and reading through the deepthink thought process I stumbled across the method there to get it to admit the truth. Due to this sudden change in topic (chocolate to deep thoughts) it understood that I was testing it and from then on it seems to have overridden the "i am deepseek" instruction. This is just my guess. I would lean more towards "stealing the code" side for now.
