Local (but very mass-market) chains like Lowes Foods have gotten so good at that space that I rarely think of Whole Foods as a necessary stop at all. We really only go for cheese, which it still has the best selection of by far.

But yeah, if you wanted great chops or sausages or okra or even eggplant, you used to go to Whole Foods, and now Lowes has much better selection.
