I was the Gunnery/Ordinance Officer aboard DDG91 20 years ago. I was the guy who signed the "bill" during our weapons onloads before deployment. I can tell you all that, even back in 2003, the $$$ we pissed away on ordinance was just disgusting 🤢. I'm very happy to have completely removed myself from that world. Sadly, too many of my shipmates got stuck in the swamp and still remain there today 😥.
