When I worked in a middle school as a school social worker I worked closely with our nurse to support youth who were having difficult times in school and/or at home. Sometimes class is more than a student can bear and the school nurse’s office is a place to escape and feel valued by a compassionate person whose primary goal is to make you feel better.
