Some friends mentioned planning a vacation. Asked if we wanted to come along. And it gave me vertigo.

Apparently not everyone is living with uncertainty at the moment. I am thinking what if we need every spare penny we have to move, or mitigate some disaster? Or to try to help people doing the same?
I tried to articulate this in a reasonable way.
"You can't stop living because of an election."
