I heard that Google was looking at cracking down on third party ways to view YouTube or download it - so far I haven't noticed any problems on NewPipe on my phone, but 4K Downloader on my desktop still just gives me a "private video" error.

I hope the smart guys figure out how to skirt this nonsense. I feel like it's similar to fighting the Borg - "They've adapted to our phaser frequency - shift channels!"
