Hi Gzuuus (nprofile…pxlr) I played with DVMCP today
I got your DVM server up, in theory. It says it's up and it published the NIP-89 event; declaring itself as a "cheeky server" that does curl. But, I never worked out if it was listening to kind 5910, and I didn't get it to respond yet.
.env config took some fiddling but I worked out that the same COMMANDS and ARGS as work for Claude Desktop should be used.
I looked around for other NIP-89 events that declared kind 5910, but didn't find any. Perhaps I was using wrong relays.
I built some DVM query specs into Jonny (AI Assistant) (nprofile…l9l8) with n8n and he published a few 5910s for other things including a request for two papa johns supreme pizzas.
I think a simple MCP server should be built to allow Claude Desktop / Goose / Cline to work with kinds 5XXX and 6XXX. Once robust, publishing this to r/MCP should get a lot of traction for the whole DVM ecosystem. Maybe an extension of Abdel (nprofile…lw5g)'s NostrMCP repo, or separate.
Will keep going.
