This is really chilling and important to understand:
The current generation of medical students believe, without question, that something called “gender identity” exists, is apparent from age three, should be seen as trumping sex, and necessitates hormonal “treatments” and sometimes surgery. For some reason, they see surgery as more serious, but only because of the risk of “complications” in any surgery. Puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones are basically like vitamin C tablets according to the attitude these medical students display.
These students also clearly do not see parents as anything like authority figures or heads of families. At most, they see them as caregivers or “support.” Again, nothing else seems to cross their minds. I don’t know where this thinking originated, but it reminds me of a Zoom conference posted a couple of years ago in which teachers refer to parents as “caregivers.”
I don’t know what to do about any of this except to plan to rely less and less on conventional medicine, and to make sure laws enshrine parents’ authority in all medical matters.
