You should ask the guy on Facebook. But if I have to guess heat "jumps" a gap easier than electricity.
Circuit breakers have metal in them. Even without hard connection the metal parts aren't separated by more than a fraction of an inch. In comes 6k degree of heat in one wire. Plastic melts, metal parts next to each other get hot, including the out wire.
But even without that, the wire in the wall going from the outside to the breaker box being 6k degree is probably enough to set that part of the house on fire.
