I caught measles at kindy when I was about 3. It was a full on dose, & I had spots in my ears & mouth. The acute phase was over in a couple of weeks.
But it nuked my immune system & I spent the better part of the next five years in & out of the children’s hospital, a lot of that time in an oxygen tent.
