Ooh, was her request based on also having seen it before?
I just ask as my kids LOVED the 'Dark Crystal' series a few years back, so much that they demanded I dig out my old DVD of the original movie, and... about an hour in they asked me to stop it. Both found the pacing too glacial, and not what they were prepared for after the series.
And despite me historically rating it as one of the greats, I realised that day it had definitely aged worse than, say 'Labyrinth'.
