I don't disagree, but disassociating the supposed cause from the symptoms is also vital in the traction period... and political leaders seem completely unwilling to actually state clearly & repeatedly (with clear available evidence) that immigrants are not the problem.... of course, one might also suggest that those influenced by the right wing press are not particularly interested in evidence
