I have a Pi-Hole at home that I use to blacklist malicious domains, I understand not everyone is tech-savvy enough to do this.
Of course, clients could let you whitelist domains from which to fetch media but I’m pretty sure 99% of people will just find it inconvenient.
I’ve suggested it before: Nostr clients that value user privacy will add domain whitelisting.
The truth of the matter is… if you are privacy conscious you would be using a VPN already.
