Slightly personal post but maybe some of you will find it useful.
Last year I made 7️⃣ commitments to myself to help optimise my body and mind to improve performance in life. It’s been 6 weeks and so far things are going pretty well.
1- Commit to daily meditation 🧘🏼♂️ Game changing, but has been hard to do. Now I’ve routined it I’m feeling much better at this.
2- Extended Fasting - resetting the internal system is something I’ve never tried. Intermittent fasting is something I do but now I’m stepping up to longer fast. (My first 40 hour fast starts at 5pm today 😬)
3- Increase strength training 💪🏼 this doesn’t just mean lifting heavier. I’m actually focusing more on hydro at the moment which is lighter with higher reps. Energy levels have improved a lot.
4- Eat more meat (steak) 🥩 for all the noise out there about this being bad. I’m seeing the opposite effects and my blood work is telling me the same. Early days and not overdoing it. Moderation still important for me.
5- Pivot career focus to work with Bitcoiner’s ✊🏼 last year I left a comfortable busy that I was a partner in to shift my entire career. Time off first is now being followed with more time with Bitcoin companies and this is why I’m heading to Bitcoin Miami in May.
6- Connect with family more - being an expat is tough, keeping in touch is critical for them and me.
7- Put me first more often. I’m the type of person that loves to please but I sometimes forget what I want in life. So far I’ve taken up a new hobby (paddle tennis) and I have rediscovered myself by spending more time with me out in nature.
What does all of this do? Well let’s see at the end of 2023 but so far I’m finding myself to be mentally stronger with more energy and more focus. It’s been a while since feeling this good so given the way the world can be sometimes, I might recommend giving some of these a try if they work for you.
Have a great Sunday 👊🏼
