I was just thinking ‘I speak to fewer people in my neighborhood after Cookie died’ and then I went downstairs and the restaurant lady who always gave Cookie some snacks said, ‘we haven’t seen you in a while since Cookie died, but you should still drop by for some snacks’
I don’t always eat there (even tho I love the food), but we do this SE Asian gift dance: I drop by with buns from the bakery for everyone, they give me mooncakes
