Hi, I agree that more focus on engagement would make sense. We have this in our plans to properly redesign the reactions/comments to make them more visible.

Unfortunately, it's much harder to make high-engagement content show higher up on the homepage. That implies "an algorithm", which is not trivial to do given that our engine works on the client (in the browser). I totally agree this could be beneficial to creators, but this is not a priority right now due to high complexity.
