As it's just come up in my timeline. Some options on how to get more control of the content of your home timeline:

1. Turn off all boosts
2. Mute boosts from individual accounts
3. Turn off replies
4. Set up filters for key words so the posts appear behind a warning, or don't appear at all
5. Mute people for short, medium or long term
