Ooof the wife of a co-worker has sudden macular degeneration that's gone from zero to blind in a few months. He's plenty old enough to retire with a healthy federal civilian pension, and has a full military pension already. Yet he chooses to keep working. I'd be hitting the eject button yesterday to spend time with my spouse if something like that were to happen and I had the means.
He's a great guy and I don't want him to go but 😥 maybe he should.
